The critically acclaimed E! Show, Dr. 90210, welcomes its first dentists on the show.
Dr. Rey has had tremendous success with the Show, and Dr Steven Hever's friends Dr. Linda Lee and her husband, who is an anesthesiologist on the Show, have also had their practices featured on Dr. 90210. From his Beverly Hills office, Dr. Steven Hever shares his experiences from the Show.
"Our patient, Scott, is a remarkable person. 4 years ago he was hit by a drunk driver and underwent a life changing, and almost life-ending, experience. He was wearing a seat belt, but the car he was in was a classic and only had the lap-belts. The result of the impact was that his face hit the metal dashboard and disfigured his face. He lost an eye, was burned, and ended up with some broken teeth and a broken jaw in the impact. Scott’s jaw was put back together by an oral surgeon, but his teeth never came together the same.
This was a full mouth reconstruction, done in two visits. The first visit was four hours, and consisted of getting the teeth aligned and shaped as needed for our master ceramists to create his new smile. Scott was a great patient - and it helped that he was under sedation because when he woke up the work was done, and he was smiling!
Scott's case was definitely one of the most challenging, because of his accident and his misaligned bite. I wanted the world to see what cosmetic dentistry can do for people. And if we can give Scott back his smile, imagine what cosmetic dentistry can do for you!”
